VICTORIAN EDWARDIAN RARE BLACK OSTRICH DRESS GOWN FEATHER BOA STOLE CAPELET CAPE

An original Victorian to Edwardian women's black ostrich feather cape that is quite unique and of course, a rare style to find. Only the most fashionable lady of the day would have been fashioning this gorgeous cape. It is more like a cape than the typical boas that just wrap around your shoulders. the feathers are very full and whimsical, they are not extremely long (each individual one is approx 4" long), they are in very good condition. They are supported by a 28" long x 2" wide black satin fabric which lays across the shoulders, also there is black ribbon ties. Each individual "tail" is approx 10" long while the front along the sides is approx 14"long. The mannequin modeling it is 14" across shoulders and 25" from mid shoulder to where the feathers are ending on her.
Truly a very rare cape to find. In overall very good condition, it has some minimal shedding. Please ask questions before bidding or making an offer. Have a great day!
