  • Condition: The box top, bottom and drawer are made of solid walnut. I refinished the top, and bottom and the frawer front (sanding it down and applying six coats of lacquer). I don't know the wood type of the black painted sides; I did not sand the sides down. I did however, re-varnish the sides. The measurements can be seen in the last three photos. I would rate this box at a solid 9.5 of 10 in terms of condition.

    Description

    This is an original Lincoln Continental Jewelry / watch / Key box.  It's large enough to hold your keys or watch in the removable drawer, and other jewelry pieces in the larger right side. The upper left opening is shallow and would hold your car key (providing it's not a bundle of many keys). The lining is black felt, and the felt is in very very clean condition. As stated, the top, bottom and drawer are made of solid walnut (not veneer).  The wood type of the sides is unknown to me. It's probably composite wood.
    It's my thought that this jewelry box was given to purchasing customers who purchased higher end Lincoln's.  I don't know the age of this commemorative Jewelry box. It is my thought that it's probably from the 1970's or 1980's.  The top seals very well with magnetic catches.  The hinges work perfectly, and they are of a high quality.  The drawer seals with magnets that are hidden in the drawer and recessed in the lid. As I refinished it, it looks as though it was just made this week.  I would rate it a 9.5 of 10.
    This would be a nice piece for a Lincoln enthusiast.
