  • Condition: This doll is not in the best of care and I believe it is probably early 1900's. There is cracking around the eyes and mouth and there is flaking around the neck. I believe the doll is composition and I think the clothes are originals. It has quite a few cracks on the legs and hands. Check pictures closely.

    ANTIQUE DOLL OPEN & SHUT GLASS EYES EARLY 1940's 20" TALL CLOTH BODY HUMAN HAIR
    This antique composition doll is American made around the 1940's.    She has human hair which looks to be hand tied.  This is known as a Ma Ma type doll and there feels like it might have a mechanism in her belly, but only occasionally is a sound made and then it is just a squeak.  The eyes are tin decal sleep eyes meaning they open and close.  The body seems to be muslin or cloth and stuffed.  There is no maker's mark.
    This doll is not in the best of care and there is cracking around the eyes and mouth and flaking around the neck.   I believe the clothes are originals.  It has quite a few cracks on the legs and hands.  Check pictures closely.
